About Grace Outreach Ministries Asia (GOMA)

Our Vision

Thank you for visiting the Grace Outreach Ministries Asia (GOMA) site.  GOMA was founded in 2005 with the goal to encourage the oppressed and to give hope to the abandoned in the persecuted areas of Souteast Asia. The church is commanded to go into all the world and make disciples, but in many parts of the world, the church's mission is lacking.  For example:

 

The 10/40 window consist of two thirds of the world’s 6 billion plus population Just a little over 1% of the church's missions finances are used to reach this population. This means that almost 99% of the missions funds are used to reach 1/3 of the world’s population! How sad! Persecution of the Christian believer is common throughout the 10/40 window. Being a Christian in these countries could mean imprisonment or death.

 

It is GOMA’s goal to help teach and train the future pastors, evangelists, and teachers in the 10/40 window and to see them reach their own countries with the truth of the gospel.  Please place us on your prayer list and pray!

God WILL build His church.  This is a promise, and He uses people just like you and me to get the job done.

Spanky was called into the ministry in 1978 and completed his education in 1984 at Southeastern Bible College (Birmingham) with a Bachelors Degree in Bible Theology and a minor in Missions. He was awarded a Honorary Doctorate in 2010 by a ministry school in Burma. (Note: The school is not disclosed because of possible retaliation from the government of Myanamar)

 

Spanky planted churches in the USA from 1984-2000 and continued in support ministries until 2005. However, after several years of serving God in the USA, God called him to help train future leaders in the persecuted areas of Southeast Asia. Today he has ministries in Myanmar, Cambodia, South China, and is developing a training center in the Philippines. It is his goal to train locals to reach their own country for God's glory.

 

Because of the areas of ministry, Spanky has chosen not to use his real name or real picture. Please pray for Spanky and the GOMA team as they do the work of God in Southeast Asia.
